He looks a lot like his father. Don is just short from having top fitness, yet he has no body skill points. He may have lost these points when he got an electric shock, as his memories may suggest. He seems to take after his paternal grandparents, Carmelo and Mama, as he shares their romance aspirations, while both of his parents and maternal grandparents have the fortune aspiration. Even though he is a womanizer, he has no charisma skills - contrary to what players would think about him.
In one of the Goth family storytelling images, he has an unused hairstyle. He also has a memory of meeting Mortimer Goth, but he doesn't appear in Don's relationship panel. He and the Caliente sisters, despite clearly being full-grown adults, live at a youth hostel owned by retired boxer Toothless Joe. Despite the social 'Talk' being a common and safe interaction to use, Don will always change the topic to food and discuss his hatred for it.
Don Treadwell also has this issue. Don appears in Riverview. The family bio reads "Don woke up one morning in a whole new world. He remembers stepping onto a teleporter, several women laughing, then nothing else until he found himself here Don's bio reads "Don Lothario was facing a big choice between marriage and continuing to be a man about town. Will his "accidental" teleportation to a new town change his old ways?
There is no sure way of knowing how he was teleported into the sleepy town of Riverview, but afterward, Don seems to have either simply moved into the old granary or bought it somehow. He possibly worked for some time. Don's story in The Sims 3 seems to have started a few days after Don was teleported to Riverview since the old granary was poorly furnished and Don owns a car.
One theory is that the granary was owned by the McDermott family, then Don appeared and they gave it to him as a house since Don knows Luke McDermott and he does have a huge farm nearby.
This is also hinted at in a preview for Riverview in which Don teleports into the McDermott garden. One of the things we're planning to address in The Sims 2 is to make a game that is strategically really deep and one that will appeal to the hardcore gamers. And also graphically state-of-the-art, which The Sims never was.
The feeling of immersion in The Sims 2 is much higher, it feels much more immersive than looking down on to little toy characters. That much is evident from a quick scan at this page, with the game boasting full 3D environments and intelligent lighting. But there is far more to The Sims 2 than a bit of cosmetic surgery. Probably the biggest advance is the fact that your Sims now physically age. Gone is the static Groundhog Day approach of the original game, as depending on your Sims' time of life - and indeed their personalities - their needs and behaviour will be vastly different.
As well as the signs of ageing, other physical aspects will also be visible, with lazy, greedy Sims sporting grotesque paunches, for instance.
Physical features can be handed down via DNA, something worth considering when designing their faces using the new Create-A-Sim tool, which should be downloadable before the game is even released. Throughout your Sims' lives, instilling good key memories is crucial to achieving a high Life Score.
So having a first kiss as a teenager will see them in good stead; having it at the age of 58 probably less so. Sims will also be far more complex than in the previous game, and their experiences - good or bad - will have a tangible effect on their behaviour. So if you manage to raise a shiny happy Cornflakes family, you'll be repaid with a decent Life Score.
Alternatively, screw up their lives and you'll turn out a generation of embittered, angry sociopaths. Welcome to the real world. The life simulator returns, with slightly less potty micromanagement and slightly more direct control of your sim via amusing minigames. But the loading times on PSP are too frequent and delay the already slow-paced action. If you grew tired of The Sims long ago, this won't renew your enthusiasm for obsessive home furnishing.

What do you mean there were mysterious sightings of Bella in Strangetown? Sure, there are pre-made characters to play as in The Sims 4 with small snippets of story in the corner, but nothing feels as interesting or compelling as The Sims 2. Spoiler alert: this is not a lore lesson on Bella Goth, that still goes way over my head but I will link a youtube video explaining her disappearance in the later paragraphs.

This exact reason is why I would make my character have a husband and kids, and when they went to work I would WooHoo with the maid I was problematic at 12 years old I guess.
But what really intrigued me was the story in the background of the game. In The Sims 2 , we were greeted off the bat with drama. When you load into one of the three neighborhoods, the screen would immediately fill you in on the gossip of the town. The sims here were not just placeholders or people for you to interact with for leveling up your own charisma skills, but they had their own missions and goals. In Pleasantview, you were introduced to the mysterious disappearance of the aforementioned Bella Goth, the beautiful bride of the loaded Mortimor Goth.
At the same time, in-game, Mortimer is an elder with only 7 days left to live. Things adding up for you now? The third town within the base game is Strangetown, where there are alien abductions and strange sightings of Bella Goth which are very rare to trigger in-game. There is a storyline here of three brothers, one of whom is abducted by aliens and comes back pregnant with an alien baby. What was most compelling to me as a player was to be able to play as the premade household of Don Lothario and be immediately wrapped up in the drama of his affairs.
